May Yi Koo

Associate Director

May Yi is based in Singapore and has over 6 years of experience in the financial services industry. May Yi first joined Affirma Capital in 2021 and was previously in the Finance team, before rejoining the team under Transaction Management in 2024.

Prior to rejoining Affirma Capital, May Yi was a Finance Manager at CLSA Capital Partners, where she managed the financial and operational aspects of various transportation funds. Before 2021, she served as a Finance and Investor Services Manager at 8F Asset Management, overseeing the funds’ accounting functions, investor reporting, and due diligence processes. Prior to her role at 8F Asset Management, May Yi was an Assistant Manager at PwC Singapore, where she focused on clients in the asset and wealth management industry. In this role, she led a portfolio of audit engagements, including private equity funds, hedge funds, fund management companies, and family offices. Additionally, May Yi spent two years as an Audit Associate at EY Malaysia, specializing in clients in investment banking, leasing corporations, insurance companies, and asset management firms.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Bristol.
