Fraudulent Marketing

It has recently come to our attention that individuals have created fake advertisements / offers / groups on social media networking / messaging platforms including WhatsApp, falsely representing themselves as part of Affirma Capital and offering investment related advice / services to members of the public. We want to unequivocally state that Affirma Capital has no affiliation with this and advise individuals not to respond to any such activity. Affirma Capital deals only with institutional investors, not individuals, and does not use messaging / social media platforms to market ir or provide any services apart from though its web-site (www.affirmacapital.com) and its LinkedIn page. Any other communications are false and invalid and you are strongly advised not to respond to such messages

Fraudulent Activities

Individuals have been engaging in fraudulent activities by using the Affirma Capital name, including:

• Misrepresentation and unauthorized transactions: The perpetrators are falsely claiming an association with Affirma Capital, using publicly available information including the Affirma Capital name, website, address and other branding elements without authorization and with the intent to defraud individuals. Members of the public may be invited to participate in / join social media / messaging groups like WhatsApp etc., for investment advice or investment related educational courses.
• Unsanctioned Communications:These perpetrators are using social media networks and messaging platforms such as WhatsApp or sending communication from personal email addresses amongst others to communicate with potential victims, misleading them into believing they are engaging with representatives of Affirma Capital. Accordingly, such perpetrators may try to gain access to your personal information or to acquire money or other valuables from you under the false pretext of offering investment strategies, stock market information, free online teaching courses amongst others that purport to come from Affirma Capital.

Affirma Capital strongly condemns these fraudulent activities and takes them extremely seriously. Affirma Capital deals only with institutional investors, not individuals, and does not use messaging / social media platforms to advise or provide any services apart from its web-site (www.affirmacapital.com) and its LinkedIn page. Any communication claiming otherwise should be considered fraudulent and any person dealing with such fraudsters will be dealing at their own risk and responsibility. By issuing this notice, we aim to raise awareness among members of the public about these fraudulent practices and urge everyone to exercise great caution and diligence.

• Verification: Always verify the authenticity of any communication or website claiming affiliation with Affirma Capital. We do not operate through any other websites or social media / messaging platforms or mobile application.
